I don’t think I’m ever going to go through the hurdles of restoring the DB archive I have of the old way.nu wordpress database and pulling onto this host. But I just setup google webmaster tools and it makes it pretty trivial to find 404s that are showing up for people who are linking to my old archive. Jumping over to archive.org and grabbing the broken link stuff is similarly easy. So I created a new way.nu archive category and installed the category visibility wordpress plugin so posts won’t be appearing on the front of jonathan-peterson.com.
Now I can just do the recreate, post two step to get everything with high linkage. Will also need to setup a .htaccess with mod-rewrites so the old broken links are in the right place. to do it right?
